Did you get to go into the Wies Kirche? I was with some friends one of whom is an art conservator on a trip to Munich, and we went there. We were given a full tour (like 4 hours long) of the church with explanations of the incredible Rococo interior and all the details. My toes were frozen (it was February and snow laden), but it was very very interesting. Definitely the most ornate of all religious buildings I’ve ever been in.
That sounds amazing! Unfortunately, we didn’t make our way inside… It was a long day of driving (we took turns visiting the outside since we had all of our stuff in the car) and just a quick side trip. The surroundings were so beautiful, though; it was such a peaceful place!
