The presence of gelato and the absence of hot water

We were picked up from our apartment in Cyprus really early to go to the airport — at 2:45a.m.! We landed in Sofia at 8a.m. and had to find ways to pass time until our next place was ready for us to check in. We had brunch at a place called Izzy’s, visited a bakery called Jovan Dutch Bakery, and then hung out at a Starbucks until our place was open.

One fun thing about our time in Bulgaria was that almost every night, we got gelato from a place called Afreddo’s, and it was very yummy! One of my favorite combos of gelato is tiramisu and lemon! My favorite is definitely coffee and lemon.

The only sad thing was that for two days, the hot water commanders in Sofia turned off the hot water for two days for a repair, so we had to shower in water that kept getting more and more freezing!

Even still, Bulgaria was really cool, and I hope we can visit sometime again!
