When we were staying in Milan, we took a day trip to Lugano, Switzerland. I loved it! The train ride took about 1 hour and 45 minutes. Right when we got there, we started searching for a brand of hot chocolate called Caotina that my mom knew about from other times she has been there. It was the best hot chocolate I have ever had in my life!! It was so flavorful! Then we took a funicular up the mountain–I loved it! It was crazy steep and gorgeous! We rode down and took a walk by the lake which was really beautiful. Switzerland is so green. It wasn’t as hot there as it was in Italy, but it was still pretty warm. As we walked by the lake, we saw the mountains above the lake and the blue, pretty water. It was stunning! We got an AMAZING dessert of tiramisu, Nutella crêpes, and some sort of delicious, tasty, scrumptious, yummy, delectable, appetizing, flavorful, mouthwatering, delightful, pleasing coffee ice cream sundae. YUM! My favorites in order were the coffee ice cream sundae, then the Nutella crepes, then the tiramisu. My favorite thing that we did in Switzerland probably was spending a lot of time at the store to get rid of our extra Swiss francs. We had about $35 in francs leftover and we wanted to spend it on chocolate! We each had about $6 to spend, and each chocolate bar cost $2-3. In the end, we got 13 bars of chocolate! It was awesome! Right after that, we rushed back to the train and went back to Milan. I really enjoyed Switzerland.
