Furi Trail and Forest Fun Park in Zermatt

During one of our full days in Zermatt, we hiked the Furi Trail in order to see and experience a long suspension footbridge. The hike wasn’t very long but we got some good uphill climbing, and it was quite an experience to walk across a long suspension bridge a few hundred feet above the ground! After our hike, we had planned to do another ropes course (we also did one in Bali and in Bled)! We did all of the routes on the course in about three hours! There were so many different obstacles to complete! We started out by doing a fairly simple one (compared to all of the others) with tightropes, wooden boards to step across, tires to step on, and best of all, zip lines. We would start out by climbing a ladder, going across a little tightrope with ropes to hold on to, going across a big wooden board, then zipping across to another platform. The distances were really long and the zip lines were really really fast. I think it took close to 15 seconds to get to the other side! There was one course that went over a pretty river. I wound up doing that course four or five times because it was so fun! Keegan and I probably had the hardest time because a lot of the obstacles had ropes and cables to grab onto that were too high for us to reach, so we had to figure out other ways to get across. We had a very good time at this forest fun park.

during one of the stops on our hike we came across this play area and took a break from hiking to play for a bit
the last stop of our Furi hike was entering this Glacier Garden where there are different markings that glaciers have made over time
