During my senior year of high school, my dad took me and a good childhood friend, Sarah, to Zermatt to ski — it was such a great trip, I was excited to be able to make it work to visit this year with our family. The village was as cute as I remembered and we enjoyed a couple days of hiking and walking around the car-free town (visitors park in nearby Täsch, three miles from Zermatt, and shuttle in either by taxi, train, or helicopter–we went the train route). We hiked, visited another Lindt shop (#12 of our trip!), and had a couple more delicious fondue and raclette meals.
Wow! This is amazing! I am Swiss and I have never been to Switzerland! You are making my dream come true through your fabulous photos! What a delightful village! The tunnel sounds a bit out of this world! What an incredible year it has been for all you dear Hartshorns! Thank you for sharing this incredible trip!
