Milan is so cool! I love that it is a lot less busier than the other places in Italy. It is still so hot! We have seen the Duomo, the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, and the Teatro alla Scala. The Duomo is a beautiful cathedral that is the most famous spot in Milan. It can hold 40,000 people and took six centuries to build!
Teatro alla Scala is a beautiful and famous opera house in Milan. It was so pretty! All of the boxes were so cool! Unfortunately, there weren’t any shows during our time in Milan.
One of the boxes, Box 13, is covered in mirrors so that the people sitting inside could see every corner of the opera house! Sadly, it wasn’t open for visitors, but we were able to see it from one of the other boxes. No one knows which family this box originally belonged to because the information isn’t on record and the box was resold.
We also saw Mom’s apartment from when she lived abroad here! It was cool to see!!
So beautiful! Thank you for sharing the pictures! I wonder do you see any locals shop in that luxurious mall there? Or mostly tourists?
Hi Ching-Ching!
That is a good question! I would guess there are some locals but mostly tourists… and I would guess it is all tourists spinning for “good luck” 🙂
Are the shops there mostly Italian or European brands? I wonder if you can find an apple store or any stores that sell goods from the U.S.A. Did anyone try to sell you the flowers while you were in that mall?! 🙂 I hope NOT!
Seems like mostly Italian brands but I think they’re fairly international. A lot of fashion — Gucci, Armani, Luisa Spagnoli, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Versace, etc… Beautiful storefronts but nothing that really appeals to me 🙂 And thankfully, no illegal junk-sellers in there!!! Michael reminded me it felt like an escape once we entered. On our way in, a man put a bracelet in my folded arms… I dropped it and Michael said the guy chuckled as we continued walking.
