What sounds good to you after a grueling 2-hour hike in the 90F+ weather? Bugs? Yeah, me neither! If you’re a Hartshorn boy, though, you jump at the chance. Moe Family and Mr Cox: get ready for Vietnam!
Possibly my favorite part about this bug experience was sitting in the back of the songthaew, before we were moved to the front, and the girl across from us (25 yrs old?) shielding her eyes from the bag of bugs (that our boys continued to eat) by pulling her shirt up, creating a wall between her face and the dreaded bugs. Michael and our older three boys said that she stayed like that for the full 60-minute ride down the mountain, occasionally peeking around her veil to double-check that the bugs were still there. From what we’ve been experiencing, Thailand would be a tough place to be for someone with an easily queasy tummy!
Yum!
Oh my goodness! You boys are so adventurous!!
They really are! I had thought I would be adventurous alongside them… but then when I actually see it in front of me, I just can’t do it. 😂
When in Rome…or Thailand…
😄
Way to go, guys! I’ve had roasted crickets and chocolate covered grasshoppers, but never one as big as that one William ate!
You are a brave one too! Maybe if I couldn’t see the and could just see the chocolate that would help 🙂
Always wondered which Hartshorn boy was the smartest. Turns out it’s Tate! He pump faked eating his bug in that first video to see how the others turned out. Gotta watch that one! 😉
I noticed that too! 😆
