The first thing I am going to say is that I like Thai monkeys so much better than Zanzibar monkeys. Zanzibar monkeys are very sneaky and aggressive and they steal your food out of your hand, but the monkeys in Thailand just watch you with curiosity. We saw many monkeys on our walk to rock climbing on the first afternoon, and on the second day of rock climbing, we saw lots when we were waiting for the company to open in the morning. There were so many monkeys that second morning! When we were waiting, there were monkeys all around us playing, stealing food, and jumping up and down on the roofs. The baby monkeys are adorable especially when they are hanging down a parent’s tummy.
My husband and I love monkeys! I’ve added “hang out with Thai monkeys” as something I want to do when I’m in Thailand for work next year 🙂
If you can take a few personal days to head south, check out Monkey Beach on Koh Phi Phi!
Tate, we really liked hearing about the monkeys and seeing the pictures, especially the little ones.
