The Grandeur of Iceland

Iceland is the most jaw-dropping and eye-opening place I have ever been. Driving for hours around the island roads and stopping at the beautiful waterfalls and beaches made me realize how diverse and stunning God’s creation is. Roughly every ten minutes I look out the window and see a completely new landscape. Sometimes I see green, rolling hills changing immediately to a brown landscape with mysteriously stacked stones all over. Often, there is a beautiful green hill or white glacier to our left, while a flat flowery terrain is to our right. It is hard to describe how amazing this experience has been. There is also a large patience challenge to this section of our journey as well. Being in such a confined living space with three brothers and two parents, it is sometimes hard to remember that they are not trying to take up extra room. This whole experience led me to connect this to the end of Job, when God lectures him about all His creation and what a small part Job plays in the larger picture. I am the same; just a small part of God’s overall plan, along to enjoy the ride.
