We enjoyed walking around the Sunday Night Market in Chiang Mai last weekend, a popular market which extends 2/3 of a mile and where vendors sell a huge variety of goods — art, food, postcards, crafts, homemade juice, clothing… It was amazing to see the effort that went into getting it up and running and to know that they do this week after week (even with rain covers in place — there was torrential downpour as we were headed there!).
Thanks for posting about this and sharing your pictures! Just a treat to see some of the things you are experiencing and enjoying.
Thanks Darcy! 🙂
Going to the night market was one of my favorite things to do on Friday or Satirday nights when I grew up. It was so fun to see new products, nice crafts and trendy clothes and at the same time I hang out with my friends. Enjoy this experience and go to night markets as often as you can because this is something I truly miss in the U.S.
That sounds really fun! I’ve felt a little bit of an outsider or onlooker as we’ve experienced the night markets… They’re so fun to walk through and look at things, but we don’t always necessarily know what we are looking at. 🙂 I’d love to go to Taiwan with you and experience a night market through your eyes!! I wish we had this sort of thing in the States!
Love all of your blogs and pictures! Very informative and so very interesting! Thank you!
Thanks so much, Michelle!!
