Stari Most, the Old Bridge (Mostar, Bosnia)

I had a really fun time in Mostar. It was beautiful and relaxing. It was crazy to see the houses with shrapnel and bullet holes from the war, which wasn’t really a war but more like a bullying. We saw the Mostar Bridge which is also called the Stari Most, which means “Old Bridge”. It was bombed during the war in 1993 on my birthday, the 9th of November. It was rebuilt and reopened in 2004. Every year there is a diving competition off the bridge (which is 20 meters high!) but it’s during the summer so sadly we did not get to see it. We found it hard to find restaurants with good food and that weren’t smoky. We enjoyed our last days in Bosnia.
