Sightseeing in Delphi

Our car tour was super fun and the car was very comfortable. It had tons of room, wifi, and there was iced water which was handy. Our drivers name was Tassos and he was pretty nice. Our second night, we slept in Delphi and went to the Delphi archaeological site and museum the next morning. We saw the Ancient Stadium, the Delphi Theatre, and the ruins of a structure where people used to come to meet with the oracle. of Apollo. The oracle was a lady who made predictions and answered questions for people. At the museum, there were lots of statues and copper objects including griffins and there was also a huge copper, silver, and gold buffalo. Our next stop was a quick one at the temple of Athena before making our way to Arachova which was a really cute town. We walked around a little and got a couple sandwiches at a bakery and they were really good! Next, we went to Hosias Loukas Monastery and checked that out. It was similar to the monasteries we saw in Meteora and of course, it had an amazing, wonderful view. That was the last stop before we had a long drive to Athens. The owner of the apartment wasn’t there yet, so we passed the time at Starbucks and each of us chose a treat. When our owner was finally there, he led us up to our place. He was super nice and there was also a woman there who was also really nice. The guy said something to her in Greek and then she went to the store and got pears, apples, bananas, water, coffee, milk for hot chocolate, and juice!! We walked to get haircuts and then after that, we got a delicious dinner at Indian Haveli. We got butter chicken, naan, rice, tikka masala, and several more dishes. It was super satisfying. After that we walked back home and watched something then fell asleep. That day was really packed!!
