Our last stop in France, after going through Barcelona and Andorra, was a resort town next to the Atlantic Ocean called Biarritz. We had a nice relaxed time there surfing, walking to the beach, and being surprised with unexpectedly good food. The beach was at the foot of a big hill, so we got some amazing views at the top of the hill of the coastline and the water.
The best part about our apartment in Biarritz was that it came with a guitar! That was the first time on this trip that a musical instrument was ours for the playing, whenever we pleased. I sought to learn a few chords and possibly play along to a song (I didn’t quite get there), but the rest of my brothers were content with strumming discordant chords, presumably hearing a melody in their heads. We really enjoyed that.
