Malaga, a city not close to Barcelona

Malaga was a beautiful stop on our journey across southern Spain. We had a great central apartment on a large plaza and enjoyed roaming the pedestrian-only streets. Although the rest of my family had a pretty relaxing time, I had to take little bitty detour over to Barcelona to renew our rental car contract. When we first rented our car in Barcelona on 8/22, we thought we would be returning to Seattle about four weeks later, but we wound up extending our trip (for a third time). Enterprise wouldn’t let us extend the rental contract beyond a month without seeing the van in person, and they required seeing it at the same branch where we rented it, so I took two days to make a roundtrip solo drive to Barcelona from Malaga, which covered about 1225 miles and took almost 20 hours of road time. I dropped the van off after hours on the 21st and picked it up when they opened the next morning. At least they vacuumed it out for us! Malaga really was very lovely. Unfortunately, my main memory from Malaga will be staring at asphalt!
