I forgot how tiny hotel rooms can be

Last week, on the 14th, we took a train from Edinburgh to King’s Cross Station in London. The whole day went smoothly and we quickly remembered how to travel! We stayed in a hotel for one night before taking another train from St. Pancras Station to Brussels. The hotel was in a very convenient location, about a block from each station, but probably the smallest accommodation of the trip. We got two rooms: one with two doubles and the other with one double. It was tight but worked fine for a quick night before our train ride to Belgium.

We had a nice afternoon and evening walking around London. We saw the Charles Dickens museum (Mom and I have been reading some of his novels lately) and got dinner near Covent Garden. It was fun to have dinner out again! We had a nice evening before leaving the UK the next morning.

Masks were required on the train from London to Brussels but thankfully not on the train from Edinburgh to London (Edinburgh-London was much longer — 4.5 hours as opposed to 2 hours from London-Brussels). They don’t require younger children to wear them, so Keegan did his best to look like a doctor instead.
“I’m a doctor. I’m a good doctor.”
