Back to England… early July!

It’s always great to spend time at Grandad’s house in England.  The slower pace of life, delicious food, and time with Grandad and Zorka never fail to leave us rejuvenated.  This trip was no different.  And as I had visited over Spring break, there was a new activity I knew to look forward to…

A few months ago, Zorka was very generous to buy me a membership to her fitness club, David Lloyd.  My card was still active (and will be for some time), so she brought me along again and bought similar memberships for my brothers!  We were all very happy to accompany her a few times a week to sample the club’s prime offerings: strength classes, open gym, pickleball, and padel (like a cross between pickleball and squash).  Thank you, Zorka!

Other excursions featured the old favorites: Aldeburgh, running with my grandparents’ friend, Karen, meals in Bury St. Edmunds and at the Leaping Hare.  I love how England is getting more and more familiar–getting closer and closer to a second home.  Not far from my mind is the idea of moving to England at some point–or at least to study abroad.  We all look forward to our return and are excited to see Grandad and Zorka again!
