Tate – 27 June

For breakfast this morning I had a chocolate muffin. My brothers and I jogged over to the waterfall at our campsite. We skipped some rocks and then headed back. My dad talked about how much he loved the campsite. “It just makes me so happy” was a quote from him. I loved it too.

My favorite thing about it was that it had a soccer field. Yesterday our mom promised a treat for whoever found her two hairbrushes. William found one and while Findlay was about to find the other one, he got it. So William gave his promised treat to Findlay. He still is going to get one for finding the other one. When we got to the store, they both picked out their treats and I tried to convince Mom to let the rest of us share two treats! She said yes!

Delicious Icelandic candy

Just so you know my least favorite thing in Iceland is the marmite peanut butter. Three words. It is DISGUSTING. Don’t try it.

We went to a glacier lagoon and saw some glaciers. Mr Cox flew his drone that has a video camera on it. We got to see the whole lake full of glaciers! It was really cool. All of these stops were on the way for a 5 1/2 hour drive!

My favorite part of the day was the black beach. It was totally black! There were no white or gray pebbles.

We saw so many seals through Mama Barrett’s binoculars. They were so cute!

My turn in the front with my dad

I got to sit in the front and see the amazing landscape right in front of me. We finished our drive and got to the campsite. It was so pretty. Iceland is fantastic!
