During our stay in Cyprus, Findlay and I ran five or six times. On our first run, we woke up early in the morning and ran at 7:00 AM. It was already in the 80sF. The next day we decided to wait a little bit later in the day and run at 6:00-7:00 PM so we didn’t have to wake up early. It was looking fairly shady at 4:30, so we decided to get it done with. Bad decision. There was actually hardly any shade, and the real feel was 95F. It was so hot! When we stopped I really felt like I was going to either faint or throw up, but I did not. The next day, and for the rest of our running sessions, we ran late at night at 8:00-8:30 PM. It was still 85-88F, but the sun was behind the buildings. It was definitely worth it! We ran 3-4 miles, and after a couple times running three miles, we did an extra with Keegan. We ran along the waterfront which was very pretty! There are pros and cons to running here, some pros are that it is very flat and straight… but my favorite part is that after we’re finished we can jump right into the sea to cool down!
