Luang Prabang was really neat! We arrived there by a slow boat which was really cool! Luang Prabang is a lot calmer than Chiang Mai or Bangkok. Lao food is really good. It is spicy and similar to Thai food. In Luang Prabang we went to coffee shops to do schoolwork and taught English to students almost every day. The students were all really nice. We also went up to a waterfall to see it and swim. It was freezing, especially compared to the air which was about 90-95F! Another fun thing we did was going to a Lao story telling. A storyteller told traditional Lao fables. It was really cool!
Findlay, Thank you for writing about the bridge! How interesting! Does the family that maintains the bridge build it every year? I am wondering if that is part of their livelihood. Blessings on you and your family!
That bridge is lovely. Was it scary to cross it? Were the storytellers fun to watch? I assume they told their stories in Lao, so you would have just had to listen and try to enjoy their expressions.
