goodbye Edinburgh, our 82-day home

As our time in Edinburgh drew to a close, we had the same nervous excitement we did prior to leaving Seattle one year prior, almost to the day. We spent 82 days in Edinburgh, so it really felt like a home of sorts. We were so excited to get back out on the road, but also sad to say goodbye to some of our favorite spots. We made sure to take a few photographs of some of our most frequently-visited places before leaving.

Fortitude was a coffee shop that opened in late May and served our favorite coffee in Edinburgh. Anya would go in and order both of our drinks, a latte for her, and a “triple dipple” for me, which was my code name for a triple latte
on our last morning, with my triple dipple in hand. This is one of the entrances to Inverleith Park, our favorite park in Edinburgh where we must’ve played about 70 times during our stay
at a park on a walk the night before we left. We would walk by this park nearly every night and whichever boys were with us would hop the fence and run through this park, climbing through the exercise equipment
posing in front of the Waitress grocery store that was about a half-mile from our place. We spent many hours queued up outside of this store! It was also one of the few places where we actually got to interact with some locals. There was one cashier in particular, Peter, who was very friendly and loved to chat
