Exploring Portugal’s Capital City

We really liked Lisbon! It is a really cute city built on many hills. The streets are mostly cobblestone and the type of stone used is very smooth — it is slippery and sometimes hard to walk on! One of my favorite things about Lisbon is the trams — they remind me a bit of Volkswagen buses. Portugal is the last new country we’re visiting on this trip and it has been so fun!

this was a great indoor food market where we had lunch one day

maybe the coolest entryway into a Starbucks that we’ve seen
in the background is Santa Justa Lift, an outdoor elevator built in 1902
really cool graffiti on some stairs leading up to the Alfama neighborhood
