Bridge Jumping in Porto

Porto is a beautiful city!  Porto is famous for the river Douro, which is a very popular spot for river cruises, and its port.  It has incredible views on both sides of the river.  Six bridges cross over the Douro. All of them are a bit different. from one another and are really high!!  On one of the bridges, the Luís I Bridge, there are two ways to cross.  One of them is for cars, motorcycles, and has a sidewalk for people.  That way is much lower.  The other way is at the very top and is for people and trams.   On the lower part we saw local kids about William’s or my age jumping off!!  It was so cool to see!  It looked high from below but much higher when you were actually up there.  One of the kids did a dive!

Another thing Porto is famous for is the buildings with blue tiles covering the walls.  The architecture is so pretty!  I also loved seeing super cute trams rolling around.  We had some amazing food in Porto.  The first night we had traditional Portuguese sandwiches.  The second night we had sandwiches called Francesinhas, which originated in Porto, which were good but really heavy!  They were meat sandwiches with melted cheese on top and a tomato and beer sauce over it. Our favorite meal was at a restaurant called The Ribs. The food was amazing and the servers were so nice.

Porto is amazing and I really hope to return!
