The city with too many smells

Barcelona was great!  We flew to Barcelona from Brussels and were there for six nights.  We relaxed, swam, walked, and looked at some sights, including Gaudi’s houses. They were really easy to spot because of how they looked.  Gaudi was a Catalan architect with a one-of-a-kind style.  We saw a couple houses that he designed, a house he lived in, and the church called Sagrada Familia which he designed and is still under construction. It is very modern looking and nothing like I’ve ever seen.

We also went swimming in the Balearic Sea, which Barcelona is on! It was so fun. There were big waves but no dangerous currents.

We also got Lindt chocolate!!  That was our 14th Lindt shop that we had been to.

In Barcelona everyone has to wear masks everywhere including outside.  For some reason, though, we didn’t have to wear them at the beach.  All around Barcelona there are terrible sewer, urine, and cigarette smoke smells, so it’s kind of hard to get a clean deep breath.

We’re now driving around the Iberian Peninsula (Spain, Andorra, Southwest France, and Portugal) and enjoying the end of summer!
