The Glass Box

While we were in Chamonix, we took two really long cable car rides to get to the top of Aiguille du Midi, a mountain peak in The Mont Blanc mountain range with views of Mont Blanc itself.  Aiguille du Midi’s peak is 3842 meters/12,602 feet–it was chilly up there!  We had a really nice view of Mont Blanc, which has a peak of 4808 meters/15,774 feet and is the tallest peak in Western Europe!  When we were up there, we stood in line to stand in a glass box jutting out from the building we were in…it was a long way to the ground.  We also walked around and looked at the beautiful views. We will miss the Alps!
