Polish is a really hard language to learn. The words have too many z’s and not enough vowels! Even a simple sentence like the man walks the dog in Polish is “mężczyzna wyprowadza psa”. It has been fun to work on learning even though it doesn’t really make any sense!
We spent five nights in Gdansk and will be spending another ten nights between Warsaw and Krakow. Gdansk is so cool and pretty! There are pretty houses and streets everywhere… it feels so safe… there is loud music playing in the square right outside our apartment until 4am… and there is good food! We didn’t visit any museums in Gdansk which felt pretty relaxing. We climbed a tower and saw the pretty views. One night, my dad and I had a night out! It was so fun! We walked around for a bit, went into a beautiful church, had dinner, had dessert, and walked around some more. We met back up with the rest of our family and listened to an amazing band performing outside (practically outside our window) called Downtown Brass. They were so good! It was two trumpets, two trombones, a tuba, and one drummer. They played some Leonard Cohen, Let it Go, Stand by Me, and some others.
Out of all of the places we have been to, I would want to live in Gdansk the most. I loved it! Do widzenia! (Goodbye!)
