Himmelskibet, Fatamorgan, and Daemonen

In Copenhagen we did a lot of different activities! We went to an amusement park, a yummy brunch spot and other yummy restaurants, we went to the flagship Lego store, and my brothers and I ran a lot! I’m currently training for a half marathon! Everything that we did in the city, we got to by walking, which is really fun and gets everybody a lot of steps!

On the first day we got there, we met Mr Cox and immediately went to a place called Social Brew, which was a brunch spot that we went to most days we were in Copenhagen. It was super yummy, and very refreshing to eat real food after a flight that we had to wake up early for.

All of the days we were there we walked around and explored, which led us to many places, one of which being a theme park called Tivoli Gardens. Tivoli Gardens is the oldest amusement park in the world!  It opened in 1843!

Dad, Tate, and I got passes to do an unlimited number of rides! They were all super fun, and some of the more crazy ones included:
• The Demon: a roller coaster with massive drops, two loop-de-loops, and two corkscrews
• The Golden Tower: we strap in to the seats that are attached to a giant metal pole, and then after 30 seconds of going up and 10 more of waiting at the top for suspense, we dropped all the way down! According to the website, it was a 63 meter drop!
• Aquila: we got into seats in a car shaped like an eagle, and then we spun in circles while doing loop-de-loops, sometimes getting stuck upside down at the top! 😄

Himmelskibet, Fatamorgan, and Daemonen are some of the names of the rides! All of those rides were really fun, and afterwards we got burritos!

Everything that we did in Copenhagen was really cool, even if it was simply walking around the streets and looking at the different parts of the city! The people were very friendly, the food was yummy, the streets were clean, and the rides were super fun!

We found him! On our walk to the hotel, we found the one and only Mr. Cox on the streets of Copenhagen

Tivolii Gardens was a major highlight! In addition to the fun rides, the park itself was beautiful with lots to explore

Sweating from the Oldies at Sanku Maots’ai, a fun restaurant with a brilliant business model. You load whatever soup ingredients you want into a container, having no idea what it weighs. They charge by weight, with a minimum charge for anything under 400g, so you want to make sure you get at least 400g (just eyeballing it), and then if you’re like us you accidentally end up with around 1kg, but you find that out at the cash register and at that point there’s no turning back so you just grin and pay for your delicious $45 hot pot!

You want thingamabobs? I got twenty. But who cares? No big deal. I want moooooooooooore. That’s right! The Little Mermaid herself

We’ve taught Keegan to always be aware when the ground might turn into a trampoline, shown here perfectly recognizing the opportunity while Tate balances on one leg
